Dr. William Putsis
Dr. William Putsis is Emeritus Professor of Marketing, Economics, and Business Strategy at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published over 30 peer reviewed scholarly articles on competitive strategy and has written three books on strategy. The most recent, Scarlett’s Revenge: Business Strategy for a Disruptive World, is a fictional novel set in business with an accompanying website (https://scarlettsrevenge.com) that addresses business lessons learned chapter-by-chapter. He has two previous books that have received critical acclaim and that have appeared in various best business book lists: i) Compete Smarter, Not Harder, and ii) The Carrot and the Stick. He is on the leadership team of Knapp Capital Management, an innovative Commercial Real Estate firm focused on large scale development projects and CEO of Chestnut Hill Associates, a strategy consulting firm he founded in 1995. The process presented all three books has been developed over the past two decades of working with organizations of all sizes including many leading Fortune 500 companies. He earned his PhD from Cornel University.
Ms. Linda Jin
Ms. Linda Jin started her career as a software engineer with Delta Airlines in the 90’s, engaging in the corporate technology transformation from mainframe computing to the “brave new world” of the Internet. She is seeing the rhyme of history in the transformation into the age of AI, except the speed at which change is happening is much faster. Along with her corporate and start-up career paths, she has taught strategy to MBAs for the last 14 years as a clinical professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is passionate about helping MBAs stay not just relevant but essential in the age of AI. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the HAAS Business School at the University of California at Berkeley and her MBA from the Kenan Flagler Business School from UNC Chapel Hill.
